Want some accountability and community to keep you focused on the page? Then this is for you. And maybe you'd also like some writerly chat so you can step out of the vacuum every once in a while? Bingo.

I open the Zoom room at 9:20, and am happy to chinwag with anyone who shows up before 9:30, when we check in and get to writing. Show up late? No worries—c'mon in.

We write in supportive silence until 10:25 (cameras on or off, as you are comfortable), and then check out: how did it go?

Then, all are welcome to stay on for 15–20 minutes of lively conversation about writing, and things writing-adjacent.

Want more? Monthly deep-dives, on the last Friday of each month!

MONTHLY DEEP DIVES! (returning soon)

On the last Friday of every month, opt-in for any portion of a co-writing intensive:

9:30am–12:30pm and  2pm–4pm Eastern

Use the same link as you would for the regular group of that week (register above if you haven't already), and, as ever, come and go as you like, camera on or off.

This is an opportunity to give yourself and your project the gift of a full day of writing (and/or researching, doodling, editing, composing...). I'm probably just as excited about this as you are—maybe even more.

As the group grows, I will be facilitating guests for an extra half hour of Q&A with an expert—on publishing, screenwriting, crafting plays or poetry, essays, and so on. (Happy to hear what you'd like to learn more about, or what you could bring to these conversations.)

We also have plans to collaborate on member-led workshops. Fun, right?

The land on which I operate (Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada) is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, Neutral Peoples, and other Indigenous Peoples from all over Turtle Island. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. I offer my sincere gratitude and respect to the original and continued stewards of this land.

I also acknowledge Indigenous, Black, people of colour, women, non-binary folks, and 2SLGBTQQAI+ people who have all been marginalized for centuries, and our collective responsibility to take action toward a world free from oppression, discrimination and racism.

ImpNet intends to keep trying to do better, and inspiring others to try too.

Taking one step away from being this kind of org, I donate 5% of all ImpNet income to payyourrent.ca, the Nii’kinaaganaa Foundation: Collecting rent and redistributing it to Indigenous People.
