Every Noise at Once

While every noise at once may describe the inside of many a writer's head (over here!), in this case it refers to a website that—warning!—could take you out for rabbit-hole hours and hours. Poke around the site's simple, user-friendly interface to choose a genre or artist, anddddd, 97 layers into the subtle differences of dancehall subgenres, you have, well, something. It might be a new favourite artist, or a plane ticket to Serbia, or, in my case, another access point to the interiority of my fictional characters. I like to make a playlist for each one of them, because music is a big layer in our inner strata.
Another useful resource for writers is Authors Publish. Their newsletters provide alerts to helpful—and delightfully free!—online talks. Today I listened to 'How to Get Publicity for Your Writing with Kindall Gant, Senior Publicist at Phaidon' while walking our dogs here.

Silly me, I was getting frustrated with the irregular connectivity, when I should have been listening to the songs of cheerful birds, and the crashing of Lake Ontario waves on the rocky shore, and saving the great learning for my desk where I could take notes.
Alyssa Matesic is a hard-working keener in the writing world, with many irons in the fire. Her upbeat YouTubes are informative, and her Agent Alert newsletter helps you populate your database of potential agents. You have one of those, right?
For more resources, check in on the Notion page I'm building from tidbits shared in the Imperfect co-writing chat. (There are hundreds in my desktop file; I'm adding them a few at a time.)
Ciao for niao, bellos—I'm off to dance like a wood nymph to some forest psy.
